Jazakallah.
In relation to your...Assalamu Alakum,

Jazakallah.

In relation to your question:

The hadith of Sahih Muslim mentions in relation to his descension, "...He will descend at the white minaret on the eastern side of Damascus, wearing two garments lightly dyed with saffron and placing his hands on the wings of two Angels..."

There is a small disagreement in relation to the salah he will lead. Hazrat Maulana Ashraf Ali Thanwi sahib rahimahullah has mentioned that this will be the Asr salah in his Baheshti Zehwar however, this does not seem to be weighty. There are five ahadith related by: Jabir ibn Abdillah, Abu Umamah al-Baahili, Uthman ibn al-Aas ath-Thaqafi, Huzayfa ibn Yaman and Huzayfa ibn Usayd radiallahu anhum and they all point to the fact that Hazrat Eesa alayhis salam will descend in time for the Fajr salah and he will instruct Imam Mahdi to lead the prayer in order to show the community he has come back as a leader and follower of Muhammad salallahu alayhi wasallam and not as a prophet. This is the preferred opinion however Allamah Zanjee has mentioned a way both narrations (Asr and Fajr) can be brought together in his Al-Isha'ah. (See Al Yawaqetul Gaaliya fee Tahqeeq wa Takreejil Ahadithil Aaliya 1/188 for more information).

wallahu a'lam bisawab

WassalamAbu Huzayfahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16220558368592405794noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7213307853642319428.post-63189959016683572072011-05-22T13:09:52.850+01:002011-05-22T13:09:52.850+01:00Assalaamu 'Alaikum,
